moderni digitali italiani

mo.dig.liani (modern digital italians) was born in 2001. Turin, Italy.
They started working on a musical project simply named elettro-afrobeat in wich they try to join the 70's afro sound (Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Koola Lobitos, Tony Allen & His Afro messengers, Orlando Julius, Joni Hastruup, etc.) with the new contemporary electronic trends. The issues of this work

were song like "Afreak funk" and"Afrotonic Lounge" wich achieved a good result, but no musical pubblication. Other songs of 2001 were "Moquette", with a smoth and chill-out sound and "Boogie'n'bass", a policeman joke, with a "Mingusly" groove.

The lucky zero_remix of "Baby face" was created 2002. This song was performed by Dragster baby!, rock-noise band, friends from a long ago.

"cosa nuova", was born In 2003 in collaboration with the famous italian jazz singer Laura Cavallero. In this cd mo.dig.liani tried to explore a new vision of bossa-nova, more contemporary, always keeping high the emotional feel, but dressing it with colours and sounds that till now were exclusive of experimental electronic music.
The result was a self-produced cd wich has received very good reviews from musicians, reporters and djs.

First mo.dig.liani nu bossa cd "Cosa Nuova"
